United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA), 301(b) Planning Grant - this grant provides funding to prepare a valuable planning document, 2011-2012 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Report, for the federal government to use when determining Public Works project financing, and other related programs, for the Hudson Valley. This program has brought in over $10 million for the Hudson Valley.
New York State, Department of Environmental Conservation, Division of Water, Clean Water Act, 604(b) ARRA Economic Stimulus Funding Grant Opportunity - this grant will provide for green infrastructure planning in several areas throughout the Hudson Valley (see link/page entitled Green Infrastructure).
New York State Data Center Affiliate - the HVRC is a designated data center affiliate and as such, we receive data regularly from the U.S. Census Bureau and New York State Data Center. Our library of many CDs and a few data books are available for public use. Any needed copying of material is chargeable and subject to copyright law.
The HVRC Solid Waste Committee - is a committee comprised of members from the seven lower Hudson Valley counties that meet quarterly to discuss ways to attain economies of scale on solutions to regional dilemmas. Speakers of interest are invited to share knowledge, invite further discussion, and open avenues of opportunities.
